Dodge The Blocks support.

A 3D arcade dodger for iPhone and iPad: drag to steer Blocky, tap to hop, and see how many seconds you can last.

How to play

  1. Tap Play. Drag anywhere on the screen to steer Blocky, the white cube.
  2. Tap quickly to hop over low blocks. Pillars and giants are too tall to hop, so go around them.
  3. Red blocks slide in from the edges, and a red arrow blinks where each one will come in. Droppers fall from the sky where a shrinking red ring shows.
  4. Touch a block and it's a bonk: the run ends. Your score is how many whole seconds you lasted.
  5. Grab coins as you go. A block that passes very close, or under a hop, is a close call and pays a bonus coin.

New kinds of blocks join as you last longer: pillars, rollers that tumble, walls with one gap, droppers, giants, and blocks from all four sides at once. Got a keyboard? Arrow keys or WASD steer, and the space bar hops.

Power-ups

They float in bubbles. Grab one before it blinks out.

  • Shield: a bubble that takes one hit for you.
  • Magnet: pulls nearby coins your way.
  • Slow-mo: the blocks slow down, and so does the music.
  • Star Power: smash through blocks. Each one pays 2 coins.
  • Mini: Blocky shrinks to half size and slips through tight spots.

Questions

How do power-ups work?

Power-ups float in bubbles on the island and blink out after a few seconds, so go and grab them. The Shield stays with you until it saves you. The others last a few seconds each.

In the Shop, Upgrades make Magnet, Slow-mo, Star Power and Mini last longer, at least twice as long when maxed. Lucky Clover brings coins and power-ups more often.

What's the daily run?

Every day brings a new run, and every player gets the same one, so the daily leaderboard compares like with like. It changes at midnight UTC. Game Center also keeps your longest run this week and of all time.

How do Daily Gifts work?

Tap the gift button on the home screen for one gift a day from a 30-day calendar. The coins grow through the month, with extra on days 5, 15 and 25. In your first month, days 10, 20 and 30 bring the Present, the Magic Box and the Angel, three skins you can't buy. Miss a day and your gift waits for you: the calendar never resets.

Can I keep going after a crash?

Once per run. After a bonk you have a few seconds to watch a short optional video or spend 150 coins. The blocks around Blocky clear away, he gets a moment to find his feet, and your run keeps its time.

How do I restore my purchases?

Tap the gear button on the home screen to open Settings, then tap Restore Purchases under Purchases, signed in with the Apple Account you bought with. That brings back Remove Ads on this device.

Coin packs are consumable, so they can't be restored, and the coins stay on the device where you bought them.

How do ads work, and what does Remove Ads do?

Dodge The Blocks is free, and ads keep it that way. Video ads only play when you pick one: to keep going after a crash, or to double the coins from a run. Between runs you'll sometimes see an ad, but never in the middle of one.

Remove Ads is a one-time purchase, in the Shop's Coins tab or in Settings. It turns off the ads between runs for good, and the optional videos stay around for when you want the bonus.

How do I change my ad and privacy choices?

After your first run, iOS asks once whether Dodge The Blocks may track you across other companies' apps and websites. The game plays the same either way. To change your answer, open the Settings app and go to Privacy & Security, then Tracking.

In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, Google's consent form appears when the game opens. Change your answer any time in the game's Settings, under Privacy Choices. That button only shows where the law requires the form. The privacy policy has the details.

How do I sign in to Game Center?

Open the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad, find Game Center and sign in with your Apple Account, then reopen Dodge The Blocks. Game Center is optional: without it, the game plays the same, minus the leaderboards and achievements, and the trophy button on the home screen is dimmed. Posting scores needs an internet connection.

Where did my progress from the old version go?

Version 3.0 is a whole new game, rebuilt from scratch, so coins, characters and best scores from earlier versions don't carry over. Everything in the new Shop can be earned by playing.

I bought coins and they didn't show up.

Check that you're online, then close Dodge The Blocks completely (swipe it away in the app switcher) and open it again. If a purchase didn't finish, the App Store hands it to the game the next time it starts.

How do I report a bug?

Email support@chrislaunches.com and tell me what happened and what you expected. Include your device model, your iOS or iPadOS version and the game's version, which is at the bottom of its Settings. A screenshot or screen recording helps a lot. Found a block that feels unfair? Tell me about that too.
