An action game for iPhone and iPad: fight off the toys that come alive at night, one room at a time.
How to play
- Drag your left thumb to move, and your right thumb to aim and shoot.
- Tap the button at the top, next to pause, to switch between your two weapons.
- Your light is your health. Each hit dims it, and when it goes out the night is over.
- Survive every wave to finish the night. After each wave, pick one of three powers to help you.
- At the end of each room, a giant toy shows up. Beat it to move on to the next room.
Questions
How do I get Remove Ads back?
Open Settings in Nightmares Shooter and tap Restore purchases. You can also open the shop, go to the Get Stars tab and tap Restore purchases there. Make sure you're signed in with the Apple Account you bought it with. Remove Ads comes back on any iPhone or iPad that uses that account.
If it still doesn't show up, email me the date and the order ID from Apple's receipt email. You can also ask Apple for a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Will my progress move to a new phone or my iPad?
Not by itself. Your progress, stars, outfits and settings are saved only on the device you play on. There's no account and no cloud sync, so a second device starts fresh, and deleting the app deletes your progress.
Remove Ads comes back on any device through Restore purchases, and Game Center keeps your scores and achievements with your Apple Account. If you set up a new iPhone from a backup of the old one, your progress normally comes along with it.
How does Game Center work in the game?
If you're signed in to Game Center (in the Settings app, under Game Center), your scores go to the leaderboards and you earn achievements. Tap Trophies on the title screen to see them. Game Center is optional: without it the game plays the same, minus the leaderboards and achievements. Posting scores needs an internet connection.
I'm in Europe. How do I change my ad privacy choices?
In the EU, the UK and Switzerland, the game asks for your ad consent the first time you open it. To change your answer later, open Settings in the game and tap Ad privacy options. The privacy policy explains what each choice means. Buying Remove Ads turns the ads off completely.
Can I play with a game controller?
Yes, on iPhone and iPad. Connect an Xbox, PlayStation or other MFi controller in the Bluetooth settings and start playing. The left stick moves, the right stick aims and shoots, the right trigger shoots where you last aimed, Y switches weapons, and Menu pauses. A and the d-pad work in the menus between nights.
How do I report a bug?
Email support@chrislaunches.com and tell me what happened and what you expected. Include your device model, its iOS or iPadOS version and the app version. A screenshot or screen recording helps a lot.
